This time of year is filled with transition. Our grocery lists go from easy BBQ menus and road trip snacks to packing lunches and meal planning. Even our shoes adjust from sandals to ‘real shoes’ as we head to school and full work schedules again.

Similarly, the market faces transition this time of year, and today is no different. In some areas, it is taking longer for homes to sell, price reductions are common and pending sales are down. Showings have reportedly slowed as well. A correlation to buyers being out of town or at the cabin one more time?  Prepping for the first day of school? Perhaps. Either way, it is a transition typical of the month of August. And much like teachers are prepping their classrooms, John and I are busy in the background to make these few weeks of transition easier on our sellers. And for our buyers…we will be part of an exciting decision: Helping to choose the front door worthy of  ‘first day of school’ photos for years to come!
