What Should I do if Another Realtor Calls and says “I have a buyer for your home?”
Call us right away. We will personally contact the agent to determine if he/she does, in fact, have a buyer or is just ‘fishing for a listing.’ This happens more often than you think! If he/she does have a buyer, we can help you determine a market value for your home to be sure you are offered a realistic price. Remember, this agent is working for their buyer’s best interest, not necessarily yours! We can also guide you through the process, determine timing, etc. Keep in mind, too, that just because someone wants to buy, doesn’t mean you are in a position to sell right now!
